I stayed here earlier this week with some family and had a great time. We stayed in a triple room which had one double bed and one single. The room was also decorated very tastefully and was a cosy place to stay. Do note that this is not a hotel by any means, just an apartment in a building that has been converted into 3 rooms. The owner was very friendly and gave us keys to the apartment complex so that we could come and go as we please which was convenient, as well as the metro station which was less that a minutes walk. The rooms were located at the metro stop ‘Baldo’ on Line A which was a direct line to ‘Termini’ which is Rome’s main train station and also linked to many tourist attractions. A cold breakfast was provided to us in our room and there was also a small kitchen area where you could make your own breakfast in the mornings. Staying here was a cosy and comfortable experience and would recommend this to anyone that wants a nice place to stay and would not mind taking the metro.

We booked two night at Le Coq. We were met by the friendly owner who explained everything and provided a tourist map with points of interest. The room has been tastefully decorated, bed is low to ground and quite hard. Nice bathroom and toiletries. Communal kitchen is well equipped with coffee machine, etc. no cooking permitted. There are 3 rooms let out in this apartment with combined kitchen, dining, sitting area. We were the only ones t here during our stay. The breakfast advertised was inadequate. Packaged rolls, cake and cereals, not what we expected. Is close to metro and restaurants, owner booked a taxi for us for our ongoing travels. Pleasant stay. Would recommend.

Advertised is a buffet breakfast !! This is not the case at all . You are given a card to go to a local coffee shop . And all you get is a coffee and a Pastry . Plus is not a Bed and Breakfast at all . It is an apartment that has been converted to 3 letting rooms. With a shared kitchen. So very misleading

we arrived here on september 14th and unfortunately when we landed after a 10 hour trip , we got to the building that we kept trying to buzz into and we were not able to go in. then we finally got in , went upstairs and noone was opening the door. we did this maybe 4-5 times. i booked through another website and they finally called me 2 hours after we landed and waited to let us know that we had to move to another hotel and i wasn't happy about this. what was annoying about this was that i called the owner and was paying long distance and he once hung up and i emailed as well paying roaming charges letting him know that we were here. this was also our hotel on the way back flying out of Rome for one night and this time we got into the hotel. what i didn't appreciate was he didn't apologize despite knowing that we were the same guests that were inconvenienced and didn't acknowledge the fact that he hung up on me or didn't reply to my email but instead blamed the booking site where we made the reservation on. this is just poor customer service- you are the face of the hotel and you should be owning it and apologizing. he only absorbed the taxes from our stay On the last night. based on this i would never recommend or stay here again however if you are going to it is a good location, very close by to the metro station and accessible to all the other locations. i will never recommend this hotel due to the lack of accountability from the owner i interacted with.
